Platinum Weddings is a television series on U.S. cable channel WE, also known as Women's Entertainment [1]. The show follows the planning and execution of a lavish wedding.
The series is produced by Film Garden Entertainment. The company is also currently in production of a spin-off series, also for WE, entitled Amazing Wedding Cakes. The popularity of Platinum Weddings, at least by WE's standards, is such that they did not require a pilot to be shot before giving the new series the green light.
Seasons 1 & 2 were both half seasons, consisting of only 12 episodes each. Season 3, currently in production as of 14 December 2007, will be the show's first full-length season.
